Great Atlantic Warranty

It was a high pressure phone call I received and I went with it without doing research, so I began to panic after reading some of the reviews. $400 down, $100 a month for 17 months. I thought it was a good idea since I am a poor college student with a 2001 American car with 103k miles and I wouldnt be able to afford $500-$1000+ emergency repair.

Im beginning to think they are not a scam though. The sales guy gave me his full name and direct number to contact him if I ever have any problems. I recently received a letter in the mail from Great Atlantic telling me to expect my warranty paperwork/package soon. Maybe a week later I received a small box which includes a couple supplements you add to your radiator, some battery terminal protectors, an oil change coupon, a booklet which explains my warranty services and a warranty card with all my information on it (including my name, car, mileage, expiration date, make-a-claim phone number) from a company called Consumer Direct Warranty Services. I googled this company and didn't find any negative reviews!

I am not an employee at Great Atlantic and I plan on updating this review after I file my first claim. That will be the ultimate test to see if these guys are a scam.

Until next time!

ps - I can post pics of all this stuff they sent me if you don't believe I'm not an employer.
